Education:

He graduated from the National High School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics "Acad. L. Chakalov ”(NPMG), profile biology, class of 2010, reaching the regional round of Olympiads in biology, chemistry and geography
He graduated medicine at the Medical University of Sofia with excellent results and without any unsuccessful exams taken for the first time, the class of 2016 and was chosen by his class as a representative to present the prize "Favorite teacher of the class".
February 2017 begins specialization in otorhinolaryngology at the Clinic of Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases at the University Hospital "Queen Joanna - ISUL", which ends successfully in January 2021, among which, after successfully passing the state exam to acquire a specialty in May 2021, acquires a specialty ear, nose and throat diseases
After successfully passing the exam in January 2018 he was enrolled as a doctoral student at the Department of Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases at the Medical Faculty of MU-Sofia, dissertation topic - Bacterial biofilms in the field of ears, nose and throat
Serves as a part-time assistant and teaches students from July 2019 to March 2020, when after successfully passing the competitive exam he was enrolled as a regular assistant at the Department of Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases at the Ministry of Finance of MU-Sofia

Teaching activity:

Dr. Georgi Popov has been participating in the teaching of students since 2018 and is especially known for his series of 19 videos in a distance learning course, in which he extensively and in accessible language explains various diseases in the field of otorhinolaryngology. His Facebook page - "Dr. Georgi Popov ENT Distance Learning" is followed by over 800 people, including students from all other medical universities in Bulgaria, and the videos have over 15000 views on the page and over 12 views on YouTube.
