Education:
Dr. Manol Velev graduated in medicine from the Medical University of Sofia 1999
He has acquired a specialty in pediatric oncology 2006, and a specialty in pediatric onco-hematology 2011.
In 2009 he completed a second Master's Degree in Health Management at MU-Sofia.
In her professional career as a pediatric onco-hematologist, Dr. Velev conducts three specializations at the University of Graz, Austria and a 6-month training course in pediatric onco-hematology at the hospital "St. Anna ”in Vienna.
Professional path:
Dr. Velev began his career as a doctor at the Specialized Hospital for the Treatment of Children with Onco-Hematological Diseases in Sofia, working at the hospital from 2000 to 2013.
For three and a half years he has been working outpatient pediatrics at 31 DCC in Sofia.
From 2013 to the beginning of 2018 he practiced as a pediatric oncologist and hematologist at the City Hospital of Cologne, Germany.
In 2018 he started working at the Medical University of Giesen, Germany, in the Department of Pediatric Onco-Hematology and Transplantology.
Scientific interests:
The scientific interests of dr Velev are in the field of treating children with cancer and hematology, as well as optimizing and individualizing therapy in children with solid tumors.
Dr. Velev has experience in conducting Phase II and III clinical trials.
Fluent in Russian, German and English.
