EDUCATION
Dr. Kostadinka Pendjakova graduated in medicine at the Medical University - Sofia in 1993. In 2002 she acquired specialty in pediatrics. In 2009 he obtained a master's degree in public health and health management.
PROFESSIONAL ROAD
Dr. Pendjakova started working in 1993 as a pediatrician at MHAT "St. Ivan Rilski "- Dupnitsa, and from 1997 to 2000 at the National Cardiology Hospital. From 2001 to 2003 is an endoscopist in the Department of Emergency Endoscopy, University Hospital "NI Pirogov". From 2003 until now Dr. Pendjakova is a pediatrician - consultant at the Clinic of Burns and Plastic Surgery - Children, ENT Department and Pediatric Urology Clinic in UMBALSM "NI Pirogov".
Since 2006 he has been part of the team of the Children's Health Medical Center.
He is a member of the Central Commission for Professional Ethics of the Bulgarian Medical Association.
Dr. Pendjakova has successfully completed courses in:
- Pediatric abdominal ultrasound by profiles of abdominal organs
- Fibrogastroscopy, fibrocolonoscopy, rectoscopy, fibrobronchoscopy
- Intensive care in pediatrics
- Pathology in neonatal age
- Postoperative analgesia
- Diagnosis and treatment of allergic diseases in childhood
- Glomerulopathies in childhood
- Bronchial asthma and bronchoobstructive syndrome

RESEARCH INTERESTS
The scientific interests of Dr. Kostadinka Pendjakova are in the field of children's gastroenterology - acute and chronic abdominal pain, diseases of the gastrointestinal tract tract, liver, gallbladder and pancreas, food allergies, dietary and medical nutrition, as well as abdominal ultrasound of abdominal organs (liver and bile ducts) system, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, bladder) and endoscopic diagnosis of diseases of the gastrointestinal system.
